Game Mat
OBJECT OF THE GAME: The object of the game is to use mental math to make the bullseye number using combinations of +, , x, ÷ from rolling six dice. When a player successfully makes the bullseye number using all 6 dice, say “BULLSEYE” and earn ten points.
HOW TO PLAY THE GAME:
Player One: Roll the green 12 sided die onto the game mat to set the bullseye number. Gently shake and roll the 6 dice onto the game mat. Use the numbers indicated on each die and any combination of +, , x, ÷ to make the bullseye number. You can only use the numbers on the six dice once when making each number sentence. As each player takes a turn, the other players are also thinking of ways to make “BULLSEYE”. If the player cannot make “BULLSEYE” using all 6 dice, any other player can say “BULLSEYE” and share the number sentence. 10 points are awarded if the number sentence is correct. Play resumes with the next player’s turn. The next player in turn repeats the same process. The game continues until all rounds are completed. After all rounds are completed, players must tally all of the rounds to determine round totals. The player with the highest total is the winner!
CALCULATING ROUND SCORES: The number of dice used to make the bullseye number determines the points earned by each player. For example, ROUND 1:
Player One rolls the green 12 sided die and rolls a 6. The Bullseye number is 6.
Next, Player One gently shakes and rolls the six dice onto the game mat and
rolls the numbers shown below.
NUMBER SENTENCES THAT EQUAL BULLSEYE NUMBER
THE BULLSEYE CHALLENGE: USE THE DICE MULTIPLE TIMES TO MAKE MULTIPLE NUMBER SENTENCES THAT EQUAL THE BULLSEYE NUMBER. RECORD YOUR NUMBER SENTENCES ON THE WORKSHEET. POINTS ARE AWARDED BASED ON THE NUMBER OF DICE USED IN EACH NUMBER SENTENCE.
ROUND ONE: PLAYER ONE CAN EARN A TOTAL OF 5 POINTS (2 POINTS + 3 POINTS) OR PLAYER ONE CAN EARN 10 POINTS BECAUSE "ALL 6 DICE WERE USED ONLY ONCE IN EACH NUMBER SEQUENCE
