"The Long Island Math Conference (LIMAÇON) has provided quality in-service and pre-service for mathematics teachers for 33 years. The conference has become an annual event participated by approximately 550 elementary, secondary, and post-secondary mathematics teachers, administrators, and researchers from Long Island, New York City and beyond. In the past 33 years of its existence, approximately 15,000 mathematics educators have benefited from LIMAÇON, which we have been told has become the largest one-day regional mathematics education conference of its kind in the Northeast. This conference provides an inspiring forum for the exchange of current concerns, innovative ideas, and achievable ideals in mathematics with the common goal: improvement of the quality and vision of mathematics education in New York State and beyond.
